We are seeking to add interns to our Team for our upcoming tax season. Qualified candidates will prepare individual and trust tax returns.
Collaboratively working with colleagues to perform tasks as assigned.
Review data input and assist in the preparation of tax workpapers and returns
Prepare tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure all outstanding items are addressed or documented and work papers are completed
Current undergraduate/graduate student enrolled in an accounting program, accounting major preferred.
Develop a working knowledge of tax preparation software and other software necessary to prepare tax returns, as well as familiarity with Word, Excel and Adobe.
Candidates will be available for a consistent schedule some time between 9-5 Monday through Saturday for at least 20 hours per week
GPA of 3.0 or higher

Lally Group is a growing accounting and consulting firm, seeking a Human Resource (HR) Generalist to oversee all aspects of HR, including practices, and processes. The ideal candidate will enhance and direct HR policies including personnel recruitment, evaluation, learning and development, compensation recognition, and succession planning. The HR Generalist will also serve as an employee advocate and encourage the alignment of employee interest and the vision of the firm.

- Promote the vision, mission, and core values of the firm and supports the one firm concept.
- Implement HR policies and procedures that meet firm goals and objectives, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Oversee the recruiting, interview, and selection processes to fill vacant positions.
- Oversee the firm’s on-boarding and off-boarding processes; implement process changes when necessary and serve as a resource throughout the process to the employee.
- Work with management on performance issues, documentation, advisement, and prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
Serve as the primary resource for employee relations issues including conflict, work/life issues, and work management.
- Oversee management training in compliance and leadership topics, including interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews and sexual harassment.
- Maintain employee handbook.
- Manage the benefit enrollment, change and termination process and work with the employees and benefit provider to ensure efficient and effective communication between the firm and provider.
- Identify and implement an HR information system (HRIS) to assist in the management of the firm’s HR functions.
- Attend continuing education opportunities relative to individual and organization needs.
- Help to coordinate community outreach events.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by supporting teammates and the firm’s organizational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or equivalent field and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have a wide-ranging and growing knowledge of HR laws and regulations, both at the state and federal level.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- General business acumen and protocol in a professional office setting.
- Proficient in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office programs.

This position will entail working with clients and colleagues to advance the firm’s overall mission and values through enhancing firm culture and providing consulting, accounting and tax services to our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Expected to enhance the one-firm concept and assist in developing a firm culture based upon teamwork and accountability.
Expected to develop a strong knowledge of firm policies and procedures, as well as an understanding of the firm’s software products.
Have a general, yet growing, understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations applicable to business and individual clients.
Work with colleagues to provide consulting, assurance, accounting and taxation services to our clients, including:
Preparing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, including many of the firm’s strategic clients.
- Support the firm’s clients by providing them with short-term and long-term tax planning.
Assist in the preparation of materials and help facilitate firm-wide tax training.

- Five years of public accounting experience and 2 years of relevant tax experience preferred.
- Experience with Ultra Tax, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, and Thomson Reuters accounting software preferred

- Strong analytical and organizational skills
